Meet the Whanau - Holly Hiko
In the house today we caught up with recently married Holly Hiko. Holly is a powerful forward, a leader and integral part of our awesome Lionesses rugby side.
➡️ At what age did you start playing rugby?10 in Primary school. Sadly was the only girl.
➡️Who is/was your role model whilst growing up and why?My Dad. He's always been a hardworker which I've always admired.
➡️What’s been your favorite rugby moment to date?When our ladies won our finals last year. Actually had a little cry after. Was so proud of our girls.
➡️How do you prepare on game day?Good breakfast, good stretch and lots of water.
➡️What do you enjoy most about being a member at the club?Meeting all the different people from the club and networking. Especially at the after match. Love having a couple of bevy's at Orakei and Cornwall.
➡️Who is your favourite player and why?Tyla Nathan-Wong! Where do I even start?? Machine that girl!!
➡️What’s your nickname?Holz, 2018 Prize Giving Nickname - "Dancing queen" lol
➡️What’s your all-time favourite movie and why?Rush Hour 1 and 2. I love Jackie Chan he's awesome. With Chris Tucker it's just even better.
➡️What’s your favorite food?Dumplings!!!
➡️Can you tell us your dream job and why?Something to do with Women's Rugby! Because I'll get to meet a lot of amazing people and see the game grown!!
